The North Dakota Board of Addiction Counseling Examiners (NDBACE) is pleased to announce the opportunity for all of its licensed members to obtain the National Certified Addiction Counselor Level I (NCAC I) or Level II (NCAC II) credential through the National Certification Commission for Addiction Professionals (NCC AP). This exciting opportunity is available through a collaborative effort between NDBACE and NCC AP. The NCC AP certification is recognized both nationally and internationally in the substance use disorders profession as a standard of excellence, and brings recognition and strength on a much broader level for our credentialed members. NCC AP understands that increasingly MCOs, government-funded grants, and the Department of Transportation (DOT) all seek professionals who hold a national credential. Therefore, we encourage you to position yourselves for the greatest possible career opportunity.
This one time only offer for a NCAC I or NCAC II national credential will be available for a six (6) month test exemption period beginning January 1, 2016 and ending June 30, 2016. No test exemption applications will be accepted after the close of this offer. Applications must be postmarked by June 30, 2016.
To qualify for this offer, NDBACE LAC license holders are asked to:
1. Complete the included NDBACE-NCC AP Test Exemption Application Form with required documentation.
2. Mail completed form and all required documentation to NCC AP within the test exemption period of January 1, 2016 – June 30, 2016.
Only those persons holding a current LAC license are eligible for this opportunity. NDBACE and the NCC AP wish to extend our support and encouragement to all of you who wish to enhance your professional standing and future opportunities by joining us in this time - limited invitation.
